What Am I? Haiku Contest

What Am I? A2Z Haiku Contest

April is National Poetry Month!
Create your own Haiku poem about an animal (real or mythical). Try to leave out the name of the animal so others can guess what creature your Haiku poem is about! (See our example poem below) Three winners will be chosen per week throughout the month. Prizes include Thinking Putty and other fun items! Come visit and write your Haiku in the store or submit your haiku poem, name and age to Contest@A2ZScience.com.

Example Haiku:

Breath of red fire
Scales glimmering in sunlight
Dancing through the clouds

A haiku consists of 3 lines. The first and last line have 5 syllables and the middle line has 7 syllables.

Have fun and be creative!
